The story of Matso’s began in the heart of Broome, hailed as the pearling capital of the world. Back in the 1950’s, our iconic store was a local staple and cornerstone of the community. Fast forward to 1997, it was time to swap stock shelves for beer taps, and we’ve been keeping locals refreshed and visitors curious ever since.
Mr Matsumoto is a Japanese Style Lager born from Matso’s origin story and the incredible Matsumoto family who owned Matso’s General store for over 50 years. They were pioneers in Broome’s pearl diving industry and helped build the very fabric of the town.
