to MATSO’S Brews

Like many great things, it all started with a staff lock in. It was in the early years at Matso’s Broome Brewery, and after a busy shift, staff stuck around for a few well-deserved drinks. That’s when the cocktail mixing started. The team mixed Matso’s drinks with spirits to see how they’d taste.

A couple of our signature venue cocktails and drinks were created that night, including Chango (Chilli and Mango Beer mix) and Angry Ranga (Chilli and Ginger Beer mix). The night famously ended when the venue alarm system wasn’t activated, and the head brewer got a call that something wasn’t right. Expecting to find a burglar, the head brewer arrived in his pyjamas to find a very merry Matso’s front of house team, who were eager to share their new creations. From that day on, Matso’s Mixology lived on at our breweries, events and in many partner venues across Australia.
