Matso's Broome Brewery refreshes core range

Matso's Broome Brewery refreshes core range

It’s exciting times at Matso’s, with the Broome-based brewery refreshing its core range in 2019!

Matso’s will continue to focus on fun and refreshing flavour-filled beers, backing its heroes and getting behind the products our fans love. It’s core range will include Matso’s Ginger Beer, Matso’s Mango Beer, Matso’s Chilli Ginger Beer (formerly named “Angry Ranga”), plus two seasonal releases; Chilli Beer and Mango IPA.

The refresh will see a cosmetic update to packaging such as the bottles, cans, multi-pack wraps and cartons for these products, and some existing brand personality elements making their first appearance on packaging.

As part of the refresh, Matso’s is wishing a few of its favourites a happy retirement. It’s with a tear in the eye that Matso’s says goodbye to Hit the Toad Lager, Bishop’s Best Dark Lager, Session Ale and Lychee Beer over the coming months (key dates below).

Matso’s co-founder Justin Wiebrecht says while it’s sad to say goodbye, the decision will open up opportunities in the future.

“We really appreciate the support our loyal fan base has given to these products over the years, and we wish them well in their beer retirement.

“The good news is, Matso’s will continue to focus on its main goal of providing refreshing, fun and flavour-filled beers that help people escape the ordinary. And these retirements will open up opportunities for innovation, with Matso’s already developing new products for launch in 2019.”

This comes as Matso’s Mango Beer has relaunched with a fresh new look. The packaging and labelling has been updated to reflect the tropical and fruity characteristics of the product. The Mango Beer itself is now unfiltered for fuller flavour, with juice sourced from Australian mangoes.

The retiring products will continue to be available on tap at our brewery in Broome, and available in your local store while stocks last.

“We’re hoping to send these brews out in the best possible way, with mates getting together, drinking a few of these beers and sharing a few stories,” says Justin Wiebrecht.
